East Hook Holiday Cottages - Clover Cottage

This is Clover Cottage at East Hook, which is just outside Okehampton in Devon. It's one of a pair of semi-detached cottages on our farm. The cottage itself is about three hundred years old, so it's a proper old Devon place.

It sleeps seven. There are three bedrooms upstairs: two with double beds and one with twin beds. If needed, we can put an extra single bed in one of the doubles. The bathroom is downstairs, with a shower over the bath. There's a separate toilet upstairs. The stairs are typical for a cottage of this age, so they are a bit steep and winding.

You have your own small lawn and seating areas. You also share a large field with the other cottage. There are picnic tables out there and you get a decent view of Dartmoor. It's very dark at night, good for seeing the stars.

Inside, there's a big living room with a wood fire. The kitchen is a good size with a table, a washing machine, and a three-quarter size fridge-freezer.

Okehampton town with shops and pubs is about a thirty minute walk away along the Tarka Trail, or a few minutes in the car. You're right on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. It's about three miles to the A30, so it's quiet here but you can get around easily.

For things to do, Okehampton Castle is close by, and the walk up to Meldon Reservoir is nice. Castle Drogo is about a twenty minute drive. The RHS garden at Rosemoor is nearby if you like that. Roadford Lake is good for watersports. The north coast, like Woolacombe Bay, is within about forty five minutes.

The farm is on the Tarka Trail and the Devon Coast to Coast cycle route, so it's good for walking and cycling from the door.

In terms of what's here: all bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair. We have parking. WiFi is available. We allow up to two dogs.
