Daisy Cottage is one of two cottages here at East Hook Farm, near Okehampton. It's a proper old place, about three hundred years. It's semi-detached, so you'll hear a bit of movement from next door sometimes. You've got your own garden at the back.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms and one bathroom. The rating is 3 Star, so it's comfortable and clean, not swanky. The stairs are steep, as you'd expect. The living room has a wood burner, which is nice in the cooler months. The kitchen has what you need: cooker, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine.
The bathroom is downstairs, with a shower over the bath. Upstairs, there's a double room, a twin room, and a single room with its own toilet and basin. We can put an extra guest bed in the single room if you need it.
Outside, you share a big grassy area with the other cottage. There are picnic tables and a barbecue. The view of Dartmoor is good. It gets very dark at night, so the stars are clear.
We're on the Tarka Trail. You can walk into Okehampton in about half an hour that way for shops and pubs. Dartmoor National Park is right there. For a big walk, you can head up to High Willhays and Yes Tor. Okehampton Castle is close by, and so is Meldon Reservoir.
Within about thirty minutes' drive you've got Roadford Lake for water sports, and the coast at places like Bude. Further down, the beaches at Woolacombe are about an hour away. The RHS Garden Rosemoor is near Torrington.
In terms of what's here: all bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking right outside. The WiFi works, but it's a rural connection, so it's fine for basics.
