Badgers House

Badgers House is one of the cottages on the Libbear Barton estate, near New Inn. It's in that area between Okehampton and Torridge. You're in the middle of forty acres, so it's quiet. The house looks out over fields and a bit of the lake.

It sleeps nine people. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. The rooms are a good size, upstairs and down. The stairs are fine, nothing unusual.

The thing about this place is the shared facilities on the estate. There's a big heated indoor pool you can book slots for, a games room, a little soft play area for kids, and an adventure playground in the woods. There's also a gym if you want it. You get your own enclosed garden with a barbecue.

In the estate grounds there's a badger hide, some private woodland walks, and meadows. You'll see rabbits and birds. If you're lucky at dusk, you might see deer.

The nearest shop and pub is about two miles away in the village. For a big supermarket, you'd go to Okehampton.

The north Devon coast is about 25 minutes by car. Westward Ho! is good for a long sandy beach and surfing. You've also got Dartmoor National Park to the south, which is about the same drive for walking. Dartmoor National Park has their website for planning walks.

A few local things people do: the Tarka Trail for cycling, or The Big Sheep farm park if you've got children. For a proper day out, the North Devon coastline is good. National Trust North Devon looks after a lot of it.

Inside the house: there's a woodburning stove, dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. It's wheelchair accessible at the entrance and the main living space is on the ground floor. They can provide a cot and highchair. No pets allowed.
