Granny Mcphees Cottage
It's called Granny Mcphees, but it's not an old lady's house. It's a converted barn, detached, so you're on your own. It's set back from the road so it's quiet.
It's for two people. One bedroom upstairs, one bathroom downstairs. It has a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-finished. There are robes and slippers.
It's very much a countryside place. You look out over fields and trees. It's quiet. You hear birds, not traffic. The floors are oak and there are some old beams. It's got a wood burner for winter evenings.
There's a patio and an enclosed garden. There's a barbecue. You can store bikes.
The village of Halwill Junction is about a mile and a half away. It has a shop, a post office, and a pub. The pub does food.
You're in north Devon, close to the Cornwall border. The north Cornish coast, places like Bude and Widemouth Bay, are about a 25 minute drive. Good for surfing and long beach walks. Dartmoor National Park is to the south, maybe 40 minutes by car.
Inside, it's all open plan downstairs. Kitchen with a dishwasher and washing machine, living area with the wood burner. TV and WiFi are there. Parking is right outside.
You can bring one dog. Bedding and towels are included.
