Granny Mcphees Cottage
This is Granny McPhee's Cottage in Halwill Junction. It's a barn conversion. Detached, so no neighbours attached to you. It's out in the fields.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's well finished. There are robes and slippers. The floors are oak and there are beams. There's a wood burner.
The stairs are a spiral staircase. They're fine, but they're not a normal flight of stairs.
There's an enclosed garden with a patio and a BBQ. You can park right outside. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. WiFi works. Towels and bedding are included.
You can bring one dog.
It's quiet here. You get the birdsong and the fields. For a shop or the pub, you need to go about a mile and a half into Halwill Junction.
The north Cornwall coast, like Bude, is about a 25 minute drive. Good for surfing and walks. Dartmoor National Park is about 30 minutes away if you want proper moorland. There's fishing and horse riding closer by.
