Foxglove Lodge
This is Foxglove Lodge at Springfield Meadows, out near Halwill Junction. It's one of six lodges on a site with about 14 acres. The whole place is quiet, good if you want to get away from things.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 4-Star place, which means it's comfortable and well kept. It was done up in 2019. Everything is on one floor, so no stairs to worry about.
Your lodge is detached and has its own enclosed garden with a patio. You get a lake view. There are three fishing lakes on site if that's your thing. We see a lot of wildlife here. Deer, buzzards, sometimes kingfishers.
The village, Halwill Junction, is about half a mile away. It's got a shop for basics, a post office, a fish and chip shop, and a pub. For a bigger shop, Holsworthy is about seven miles. They've got supermarkets and a leisure centre there.
Roadford Reservoir is a 20 minute drive. You can walk around it or go sailing. There's a cafe there too. The north coast at Bude and Widemouth Bay is about 17 miles. Good for surfing and coastal walks.
Dartmoor National Park is within half an hour for some proper walking. It's a big landscape. The Visit Dartmoor site is useful for planning.
Inside, it's open plan. There's a TV, WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot if you need one. You can bring up to two dogs. Parking is right outside the lodge.
