Otter's Den

Otter's Den is one of three cottages on a working farm estate called Libbear Barton, near the village of New Inn in Devon. It's detached, sleeps eight, and you get your own garden.

It's four bedrooms and three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well looked after, but it's a farm cottage, not a hotel. The main living area is open-plan.

The estate is about 40 acres. There are fields, a lake, and some private woodland you can walk in. You'll see the farm animals and probably some wildlife. There's a heated indoor swimming pool and a sauna on site that all the guests share, plus a games room and a small gym. For kids, there's a play area and an adventure playground.

You're a bit out on your own here. The nearest shop and pub is about two miles away in the village. The coast is about a 25 minute drive. Westward Ho! and Bideford are that way. For a big beach day, Saunton Sands or Woolacombe are good, but they're a bit further, maybe 40 minutes.

Dartmoor is about a 40 minute drive east. If you like walking or cycling, the Tarka Trail is nearby. For a family day out, The Big Sheep or The Milky Way are within half an hour.

In terms of what's there: it has a woodburning stove, a BBQ, dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. The entrance is wheelchair accessible and there's parking right outside.
