This is Acacia. It's a detached lodge on Thornbury Holiday Park, near Woodacott in Devon. It looks out over one of the fishing lakes here.
It sleeps four people in two bedrooms, and each bedroom has its own bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which is good. It's modern and comfortable. There are a few other lodges next to it, but they're all spaced out so it still feels private. You can book other lodges together if you're a bigger group.
The park itself is about eight and a half acres. There are meadows, nature trails, and the lakes. You can fish here if you bring a licence. It's very quiet. The park has a kids' play area too.
Inside it's open plan, with the kitchen, dining and living area all together. There's a TV, dishwasher, washing machine, and bedding is included. You park right next to the lodge.
You can bring up to two dogs.
For shops and a pub, you need to go into Holsworthy, which is about four miles away. It's a proper market town.
The coast is about a 20-30 minute drive. Bude is popular for surfing. Westward Ho! is further down. If you head into Cornwall, Tintagel and Padstow are about 40 minutes. There are lots of beaches and walking paths along that whole stretch.
Closer by, the Tamar Lakes are good for walking and watersports. The Tarka Trail is nearby if you like cycling. The big attractions like The Big Sheep or The Milky Way are a short drive. The Eden Project and Dartmoor are both about an hour away.
