Winscott Cottage
Winscott Cottage is on our farm in Derriton, about two miles from Holsworthy. It's a semi-detached cottage next to our own house. We're a dairy farm.
It sleeps four people. There are three bedrooms and one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating and was refurbished a few years ago, so it's in good condition.
The garden is enclosed. It's a good size and sunny, and it looks out over our orchard and the fields. There's a patio area with a BBQ.
Inside, there's a washing machine and the WiFi usually works fine. All the bedding and towels are included.
You can park right outside. We allow one well-behaved dog.
The nearest pub is about a mile away in the village. Holsworthy is two miles away. It's a market town with a supermarket, shops, and a leisure centre with a pool.
The north Cornwall coast is about a 20 minute drive. Bude is ten miles away. It's a proper seaside town with beaches, shops, and a sea pool. Widemouth Bay is good for surfing.
Around here, the Tamar Lakes are good for walking and fishing. For a day out, The Big Sheep or The Milky Way are popular if you have children.
Further away, you've got Dartmoor, Exmoor, and the Eden Project all within an hour's drive. Places like Tintagel, Padstow, and Clovelly are also in easy reach.
