This is Well Farmhouse, on the farm in North Tamerton. It's on the Cornwall side of the Devon border. The main thing is it's quiet. You're surrounded by fields.
It sleeps eight, but it's only got three bedrooms, so you need to be happy sharing. There are two bathrooms though, which helps. It's one of several cottages here, so you might see other guests around the courtyard. The farm is still working, so there are animals. The kids can help feed the kunekune pigs sometimes.
The house itself is solid. It's got the original fireplace in the living room. The stairs are typical for an old farmhouse. The rating is 4 Star, which feels right. It's comfortable and clean, but it's not a show home.
You can walk down to the River Tamar from here. It's good for a picnic. There's fishing if you're into that. The Bude Canal isn't far for a stroll. Bude itself, for the beach and surfing, is about a twenty minute drive. The nearest pub is a mile and a half away.
For a proper day out, you've got Launceston close by. Dartmoor and the north Cornish coast are about half an hour's drive. Bodmin Moor is similar.
On the farm there's a shared games room and a bit of play equipment. You've got your own garden with the Farmhouse. We can take two dogs. There's parking right outside. The wifi is okay, but it's countryside broadband.
