The Bridge Inn Apartment is above the pub. It's a 16th century place. You have your own front door up the side, so it's private. It's a one bedroom flat, sleeps three. It's got a 3 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and clean.
The bedroom is upstairs. The bathroom is downstairs. That's the main quirk. You have to go down for a shower. The stairs are normal.
Being above a pub, you will hear some noise from below in the evenings, especially at weekends. It's a quiet village pub, not a late night spot, but it's there. The upside is you can go downstairs for a pint and just come back up. No driving.
You get a little private patio area out the back. It's a sun-trap in the afternoon.
Bridgerule is right on the Devon and Cornwall border. You're 5 miles from Bude, which has the big beaches and surf. The coastal path there is excellent. National Trust Bude has good information. You're also 5 miles from Holsworthy, which has a supermarket and a leisure centre with a pool.
Within about half an hour you can get to some great spots. North into Cornwall: Crackington Haven, Boscastle, Tintagel. South down the Devon coast: Westward Ho! for that long beach, or Instow for something quieter. Inland, the Tamar Lakes are good for a walk or some fishing. The Eden Project is about a 40 minute drive.
Inside, it's got what you'd need. Washing machine, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets.
