Cider Cottage
Cider Cottage is in North Tamerton in Cornwall, right on the border with Devon. It's part of a small group of cottages on a working farm.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. The living area is open plan with a dual aspect. There's an open fireplace and an electric coal effect one as well. The stairs are cottage stairs, so they turn a bit.
You can walk around the farm. There are pet kunekune pigs and chickens. There's a kids' play area in a communal space. The garden is your own. Parking is on site.
You can walk down to the River Tamar from here. It's on the edge of the farm. It's good for a picnic or a bit of fishing. The upper part of the Bude Canal is within walking distance too.
For a proper beach, Bude is about a 30-minute drive. It's good for surfing. The nearest shop is in Holsworthy, about three miles away. There's a pub in the village, about a mile and a half walk.
The area is good for walking. The Tamar Valley site has details. For wider days out, National Trust Cornwall and National Trust Devon are both useful. Dartmoor is within half an hour's drive.
