Bluebell Lodge is one of a few lodges on the site near Whimble, just outside Holsworthy. It's detached and you've got your own decking out the front. The view from the living room is over the fishing lakes and fields.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything's on one level, so no stairs to worry about.
The lodge is built with a grass roof and is meant to be eco-friendly. It's all very modern inside, open plan. The owners have about 19 acres here. There are a couple of fishing lakes if you're into that, and some nature walks marked out. There's a play area for kids with a boat thing.
Holsworthy is about a mile away. It's got a Co-op, a few shops, a couple of pubs that do food, and a leisure centre. For the coast, Bude and Widemouth Bay are about a 20 minute drive. Good for surfing and long sandy beaches.
If you're looking for a big day out with children, The Big Sheep or The Milky Way adventure parks are within half an hour. For walking, you've got the coast path or Bodmin Moor not far. National Trust Devon has a few properties and coasts nearby, and Cornwall National Landscape covers the areas just over the border.
Facilities: it's got a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, wifi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if needed. You can bring one dog. Parking is right outside.
