The Stable
The Stable is in Parkham. It's a converted farm building. Detached. You get the whole place.
It sleeps six but there are only two bedrooms. They both have their own bathrooms, and there's a third bathroom downstairs. So it's good if you don't want to share. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable. The conversion is well done.
It's on a working farm. The owners are around and sometimes do a tractor tour if you're interested. There's a kids' play area in the courtyard. The property itself is private.
You're about seven miles from Westward Ho! beach. It's a long, sandy beach. Good for surfing. The coastal path is easily accessible from there. The village of Clovelly is about a twenty minute drive. Bucks Mills is closer.
Bideford is a fifteen minute drive. It's a proper town with shops and a market. You can get boat trips to Lundy Island from there.
For a day out, RHS Rosemoor Gardens are about half an hour away. Docton Mill is similar. If you're after something for kids, The Big Sheep or The Milky Way are both within a thirty minute drive.
There's a local pub, The Bell, about a five minute walk away. They do food and takeaway. The shop is in the next village, about three miles.
Facilities: it's got a woodburning stove, dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. The garden is yours to use.
