Kingsleys Lodge is in Barnstaple. It's a two-year-old build, so everything is new. It's a first-floor apartment for two people. One bedroom, one en-suite bathroom.
You get a private parking space right outside. Across the drive there's a small patio with a table and chairs.
Inside, it's open plan. There's a Juliet balcony in the living area. It's got air conditioning, which is handy in the summer.
The town centre is a little over a mile away. You can walk it. Barnstaple has the usual shops, a theatre, a pannier market. There's a leisure centre with a pool.
The coast is about twenty minutes by car. The big beaches are Saunton, Woolacombe, Croyde. Westward Ho! is closer.
For walking, the Tarka Trail starts in town. It's a flat path on an old railway line. Good for bikes. It goes out towards Instow and Bideford. The proper South West Coast Path is a short drive away.
Exmoor National Park is about half an hour east. It's a Dark Sky Reserve, so the stars are good on a clear night.
You can take a boat to Lundy Island from Ilfracombe or Bideford. It takes about half an hour.
Facilities: all the basics are included. There's a TV, WiFi, bedding and towels. We can provide a cot. One well-behaved dog is allowed. There's parking on site.
