West Hurscott Cottage
This is West Hurscott Cottage. It's in Yarnacott, which is in North Devon. It's part of our house, which is old. 16th century, thatched. You get your own bit, it's semi-detached from our side.
It sleeps three but it's all in one bedroom. That's a king bed and a single bed in there. One bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating so it's comfortable.
The main thing is the space inside and the view. You're up high, so you look out over fields. It's just fields. Inside, it's got some old features like the beams. There's a wood burner for cooler nights. The garden is enclosed and there's parking.
The facilities list covers most things. There's a dishwasher, washing machine, TV. We can put a cot or highchair in if you need one. You can bring up to two dogs.
You're a bit out on your own. The nearest shop and pub is about a mile and a half away in the village. For a bigger shop, Barnstaple is a short drive.
For days out, the RHS gardens at Rosemoor are very close. Clovelly is a historic fishing village, it's unique. The North Devon coast, like Westward Ho!, is about half an hour in the car. You can walk on Dartmoor or cycle the Tarka Trail.
