West Hurscott Cottage
West Hurscott Cottage is in Yarnacott. It's part of the old thatched longhouse here. It's semi-detached, but you've got your own outside space.
It's one bedroom, sleeps three. There's one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's comfortable and has everything you need. It's spacious inside. The stairs are the original sort, so they are steep.
You're up on the high ground, so the views over the countryside are good. The garden is enclosed. There's parking right there.
The facilities are what you'd hope for. Washing machine, dishwasher, TV. There's a wood burning stove for cooler nights. We include the bedding and towels. You can bring up to two dogs.
The thatch means it stays cool in summer. It's a quiet, rural spot. The nearest shop and pub are about a mile and a half away in Bishop's Tawton.
Barnstaple is a short drive for a bigger shop. The Arlington Court estate is nearby for a walk. The Dartmoor National Park is about half an hour south if you want proper moorland.
For the coast, Saunton Sands or Westward Ho! are within a half hour drive. The Tarka Trail is close by for cycling. The RHS garden at Rosemoor is about twenty minutes away.
