Hope Cottage is in Chittlehampton, a normal Devon village. It's a proper old cottage, so you get the flagstone floors and exposed beams you'd expect.
It sleeps five. There's a kingsize room, a twin, and a single. One bathroom. That's the modern bit, with a bath and a separate shower cubicle. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
Downstairs is mostly one big room for living and eating, with a wood burner. The kitchen's off there. A few steps up from the kitchen is the utility room with the washing machine and a separate toilet.
Outside, there's a courtyard garden right out the back door. There's also a bigger lawned garden, but it's separate from the cottage. It's less than a minute's walk away. Parking is on the street or in the village square around the corner.
The village pub is very good. It does food and it's friendly. There's a shop too.
For days out, Exmoor is about a twenty minute drive. The north Devon beaches like Saunton, Croyde, and Woolacombe are within half an hour. Barnstaple is fifteen minutes away for bigger shops. The South West Coast Path is easily accessible, and you can get on the Tarka Trail for cycling.
In terms of what's here: WiFi, a Smart TV, the wood burner, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
