Kingfisher Kerscott

Kingfisher is a detached bungalow in Kerscott, Devon. It's on the same site as two other holiday cottages, run by us. The main thing here is the fishing. There are three lakes on the grounds. If you're booking to fish, it's all included. If you're not, it's still a quiet spot with a view over the water.

The bungalow sleeps six people. Three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything you'd expect is there: a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you've got dogs or kids. You can bring up to two dogs.

It's a rural location. The nearest shop and pub are about a mile and a half away in the village. For a bigger town, Barnstaple is about a ten minute drive. They've got supermarkets and the usual high street shops.

The coast is close. Instow beach is good for a walk and it's sandy. For bigger beaches, Woolacombe and Saunton Sands are about twenty minutes by car. They're very good. For walking, the Tarka Trail is nearby and you can hire bikes. Dartmoor is about forty minutes drive if you want proper moorland.

Other things nearby if you're planning trips: the RHS Garden Rosemoor, or the historic village of Clovelly. For a wet day, The Big Sheep is an attraction.
