Slade Cottage Charles

Slade Cottage is on our farm, Slade Farm. It's near Charles, which is a quiet hamlet a mile away. We've got sheep and goats. The cottage is semi-detached, converted from a barn.

It's a 4 Star place, sleeps four, but it's really one bedroom. There's a double bed at one end of the main room, and a large sofa bed for two more people. The layout is open plan and split-level, so there are three steps up from the living area to the kitchen. Underfloor heating throughout, which is good. The shower room is off the kitchen.

You have your own enclosed patio area. It gets the evening sun. It looks over our garden and some farm buildings. You'll see fields, a bit of forest, and sometimes deer.

Being a working farm, there are country lanes and farm tracks you can walk straight out onto. Dogs are welcome, we allow two. The garden is enclosed.

For basics, the village of Brayford is two miles away. The coast is about twelve miles. Woolacombe and Saunton Sands are the big beaches there. Exmoor is very close, just a couple of miles.

If you want to plan days out, the National Trust Exmoor page is useful, and so is the Exmoor National Park site. The Tarka Trail and South West Coast Path are both within easy reach for walking.

Inside, there's a woodburning stove, TV, WiFi, and a well-equipped kitchen. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. Parking is right outside.

Slade Barn is next door if you need more space for a bigger group.
