Coombe View is a first floor flat on our farm. It's one of three places we rent out. It's up in the eaves, so the ceilings slope in the bedrooms. The main room is open plan. There's a big window and a multi-fuel stove in front of it.
It sleeps six, in two bedrooms with two bathrooms. The rating is 5 Star, which means it's well equipped and comfortable. The stairs up to it are external, made of stone. They're fine, but can be slippery when wet.
You're on the edge of Exmoor here. It's a working farm, so you'll see sheep and hear tractors. The garden is shared with the other cottages but it's big, so you can find your own spot. There's a pond in the courtyard, so watch small children.
We leave you a welcome pack with basics, plus a cake. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
For walks, you can go straight from the farm onto the moor. We've got some paths through our woods and down to the lakes. The lakes have wild brown trout. If you want to fish, let us know and we'll show you the way. The track down isn't for cars.
The local pub is about two miles away in East Buckland. North Molton has a shop and another pub, about a five minute drive. For a proper supermarket, you need South Molton.
Within half an hour you can get to a lot. Exmoor itself is right there for walking. Dunkery Beacon is the highest point. Tarr Steps is an ancient clapper bridge. The coast at Lynton and Lynmouth is about 25 minutes. They've got the cliff railway between the two towns. For a beach day, Woolacombe and Croyde are roughly half an hour away.
