Trevivian House is in Boscastle. It's a grade II listed cottage so it's old and solid. You're about a mile from the harbour itself, up the hill.
It sleeps five in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. The rating is 4 Star. It's comfortable and well looked after. The stairs are what you'd expect for a cottage.
The living room has a wood burner. There's a smart TV and WiFi. The kitchen has a dishwasher and there's a washing machine in the utility bit. We include bedding and towels.
Outside, there's parking for one car. The garden is up a few steps from the house. It's a lawn, with furniture. Because you're up high, you get a view of the sea from there. It's a good spot for staring at the sky at night.
There's a pub about fifty yards down the road. They do food. The harbour in Boscastle is about a twenty minute walk downhill. It's a National Trust harbour. The coastal path runs right past it.
Tintagel is three miles up the road. The castle is an English Heritage site. You can walk down to the beach there. For other beaches, Trebarwith Strand is about ten minutes by car.
It's a good base for the north coast. You can get to Crackington Haven or Bude in under half an hour. Padstow and Port Isaac are a bit further, maybe forty minutes depending on traffic.
The National Trust looks after a lot of the coast around here. There are good walking maps on their site. If you head inland, you can get onto Bodmin Moor quite quickly.
You can bring one well-behaved dog. There's a cot if you need it. The entrance and the ground floor are accessible for wheelchairs, but the steps to the garden and the stairs inside aren't.
