Jarvies Cottage is in Boscastle. It's at the top of the hill going down into the village, so it's quiet, but you're only a few minutes' walk from everything.
It's a stone cottage, semi-detached. We renovated it all in 2023. It sleeps four, in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean, not luxury.
The garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing a dog or have kids. You can sit out there. Inside, there's a wood burner for cool evenings. The stairs are a typical cottage staircase, so they're a bit steep.
Boscastle itself is a proper old fishing village with a harbour. There are a couple of pubs, shops, and places to eat. The coast path runs right through it if you like walking.
You can drive to Tintagel Castle in about ten minutes. It's run by English Heritage. Port Isaac, where they film Doc Martin, is about twenty minutes south. Padstow is a bit further, maybe half an hour. Trebarwith Strand is the nearest good sandy beach, about a fifteen minute drive.
The facilities are what you'd expect: parking, wifi, a washing machine, a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
For more information on the area, the National Trust looks after a lot of the coastline here.
