Pollards Cottage is in Trethevey, right near Tintagel. It's a 17th century farm cottage, so it's old. You'll see some of the original stonework and things like that. It sleeps five, in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which helps. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The location is the main thing. The coastal path is practically on the doorstep. You're only yards from the clifftop. The garden is yours, it's private. There's parking.
It's on the edge of a Caravan Club site. The site is quiet and well-kept, and you have your own separate space. It's not remote. A shop and a pub are about two and a half miles away.
The stairs are a typical cottage staircase, so you need to be a bit careful.
The facilities are all there: woodburning stove for winter, dishwasher, washing machine, wifi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
For beaches, you have several sandy ones within half a mile. Boscastle is a walk along the coast path, or a very short drive. Tintagel Castle is close by. Padstow is about a 30 minute drive for food and the harbour. Further inland, Launceston is also within half an hour if you want to see a castle town.
