Trippet Cottage is in St Breward, which is on the edge of Bodmin Moor. It's a stone barn conversion we've done up fairly recently. Sleeps four, two bedrooms, both doubles I think. There are two bathrooms which is handy.
It's got underfloor heating and it's generally quite warm and efficient. The main room is all open plan, kitchen and living area together. It's a good size. The bedrooms are spacious. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well-equipped rather than just a basic bolt-hole.
It's next to Hallagenna stables. If you ride, you can bring your own horse. There's storage. The hacking straight out onto the moor is excellent, very direct access to all that open space.
You've got a private, enclosed garden with a BBQ. Parking right outside. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
The village has a pub, it's walkable. For walking on the moor without a horse, you're right there. It's proper walking country, lots of tors and valleys. The National Trust looks after a lot of it. Cornwall Council has maps for access land.
Within about half an hour you can get to the north coast places like Padstow and Polzeath. The Camel Trail for cycling is close by in Wadebridge. Further south, Fowey and Lostwithiel are nice for a different kind of day out.
If you're coming with a bigger group, the cottage next door and the apartment above the stables can be booked together.
