The place is called Turn A Penny. It's near Coombe, between Truro and the river. It's a small cottage, just for two.
The big thing about it is the view. The plot is on a slope down to a creek off the River Fal, so you look out over trees and water. You can hear the water when it's quiet.
Inside, it's a 4 Star place, which means it's been done up nicely but it's still a cottage. Downstairs is all open plan: kitchen, dining area, living space. There's a wood burner. Upstairs is just the one bedroom with a super king bed, and a separate bathroom with a roll-top bath.
Outside, there's an enclosed garden and patio with a BBQ. Parking is right there on the drive.
It's peaceful. The nearest proper shop is in Truro, which is about a ten-minute drive. Truro has everything: supermarkets, high street shops, a cinema, and plenty of places to eat.
For getting out, you're well placed. You can drive down to places like Mylor or Flushing on the river. For the coast, the Roseland peninsula is about twenty minutes away, via the King Harry Ferry. National Trust Cornwall has a lot of the local coastal paths and beaches. Newquay and its surf beaches are roughly half an hour north.
Facilities are all included: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are provided. We can take up to two dogs. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
