This is Porthgate, in Portscatho. It's a stone cottage right across the lane from the harbour and the sandy beach. You get sea views from most rooms.
It’s a four star place, sleeps six. There are four bedrooms upstairs: two with kingsize beds, one with twins, and one with bunks. Two bathrooms, one on each floor.
The main living room is a good size, goes from the front to the back of the house. French doors open onto a small patio at the rear, good for a BBQ. There's a woodburning stove in there for cooler nights.
The kitchen is at the back of the house, so no sea view from there. It's got what you'd expect: cooker, fridge, dishwasher, microwave. The washing machine and an extra fridge-freezer are in a separate utility room just outside.
Outside, there's the patio by the living room. Behind that, up some steps through a locked gate, there's a terraced garden area. The view from up there is very good.
You're a couple of minutes' walk from the village pub, shops, and a café. The South West Coast Path is about 100 yards away. You can walk to St Anthony's Head lighthouse from here, past some nice beaches.
For a day out, St Mawes is about a 15 minute drive. The ferry from there goes over to Falmouth. The National Trust has a few places nearby, like Trelissick Garden, which is about half an hour away.
Facilities are all included: WiFi, Smart TV, bedding, towels. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Sorry, no pets.
