Pencuil is a house on the edge of St Mawes. It's big, sleeps eight, and the main thing is the view. You look straight out over the River Percuil and the boat moorings. It feels quiet but you can walk into the centre of St Mawes in a few minutes.
It's a 4 Star place. That means it's more comfortable and better equipped than somewhere basic. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms, which helps with a group. The stairs are a normal house staircase, not a steep cottage one.
The garden is nice, sunny, and looks out over the river. It's not fully fenced in all around, so something to know if you're bringing a dog. There's parking on the drive.
Inside, it's spacious. The kitchen has an Aga and a proper dining table. The main sitting room is upstairs to get the best view, with a big sofa and a TV. There's also a utility room with a washing machine.
St Mawes itself is right there. You can walk to Summer's beach, the sailing club, and the shops. For a bigger trip, the St Mawes Ferry goes over to Falmouth regularly. The South West Coast Path is on the doorstep.
If you want to drive, the Glendurgan Garden is about twenty minutes away. The Lizard peninsula is maybe half an hour. Mostly though, you're here for St Mawes and the river.
You can bring one well-behaved dog. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
