Pencuil
This is Pencuil. It's a house in St Mawes, up from the village. It's a family house, not a holiday let that's been done up to look like one. It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The main thing is the space. The rooms are big. The living room upstairs is really big, with leather sofas and a view down over the River Percuil. You can see the boat moorings from there and from the kitchen. The kitchen has an Aga and doors out to the garden.
The garden has a patio with furniture. It's a good size and private, but it's not fully fenced in. So if you've got a dog or small children, you'd need to keep an eye.
It's about a five minute walk down into St Mawes itself. Summers Beach is just down the hill. The boatyards on the Percuil are even closer. You can be on the water or in a pub pretty quickly.
For facilities, it's got what you'd expect: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking on the drive. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
If you want to explore, the National Trust in Cornwall has lots of places nearby. The South West Coast Path is right there. For a day out, the ferry over to Falmouth is a reliable thing to do. Truro is about half an hour's drive if you need a bigger shop or the cathedral.
