Quince Cottage, Pendower

Quince Cottage is our place in Treworlas, near Pendower Beach. It's a stone-built cottage on what we call the Roseland. It sleeps four, two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom downstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating so it's comfortable.

To be clear, it's right by the A3078, about a 10 minute walk from the beach. It's not isolated, so you can hear the occasional car go by. The upstairs bedrooms have sea or garden views. The stairs are cottage stairs, so they're steep and winding.

Inside, it's a normal cottage. There's an open fire in the living room, which is nice in the evenings. The conservatory is a sunny spot with a couple of sofas. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included.

You can walk down to Pendower Beach. At low tide it joins up with Carne Beach, so you get a long stretch of sand. The famous Nare Hotel is on the cliff there.

A short drive gets you to Veryan with its round houses, or the fishing village of Portloe. Portscatho is a bit further west, it's more of an artist's spot now with galleries. For a wider trip, St Mawes is about 15 minutes by car.

You can bring two dogs. There's a patio garden and parking for one car on the gravel drive.
