2 The Quarry is in Portscatho, Cornwall. It's a modern townhouse, up on the hill. You get good sea views over the rooftops. The harbour and the shop are a short walk downhill.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's well put together. There's parking for one car right outside.
The layout is upside down. The bedrooms are on the ground and first floor. The main living area and kitchen are up at the top, on the second floor. That's where the best views are. The top floor has big sliding doors that open onto a glass balcony. You can sit out there.
Bedrooms: one double on the ground floor with its own shower room. A king-size on the first floor with a walk-in wardrobe and a small Juliet balcony. Then there's a twin room and a bunk room. Those two share a family bathroom with a bath and a separate shower.
It's got underfloor heating so it's warm. WiFi works fine. In the garage, which you can get to from the hall, there's a washing machine, tumble dryer, an extra fridge, and space for beach stuff. We leave a travel cot and a stair gate there too.
The village has a pub that does food. You can fish from the harbour. For a bigger beach, you can walk the coast path to Towan Beach or drive to Pendower. It's about a ten minute drive.
St Mawes is a 15 minute drive for more shops and restaurants. The National Trust's Trelissick Garden is about half an hour away. Truro is 40 minutes if you need a city.
All bedding and towels are included. No pets.
