This is Dolphins, in St Mawes. It's an old fisherman's cottage from the 1700s, down a quiet lane. The beach is just there, about 50 yards away. All the village shops and the ferry slips are handy too.
It's small and snug, sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one double and a small twin. One bathroom up there as well, with a shower over the bath. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's clean and has what you need, but it's not a showhome.
The kitchen is on the ground floor. You eat in there. Then upstairs is the main living room. It's a decent size and you get a good view out over the water to St Mawes Castle and Pendennis Castle in the distance. The twin room looks out the back towards the River Percuil.
Because it's old, the stairs are narrow and a bit steep. The twin beds are 2ft 6. It's all fine, but it's worth knowing.
Everything in the village is easy to get to on foot. You can get the ferry over to Falmouth, or up the river to Place and Truro. For a day out, the National Trust Roseland walks are beautiful. St Mawes Castle itself is English Heritage and worth a look.
It's got a washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's no garden, but you're so close to the sea it doesn't really matter. No pets, sorry.
