Dolphins

Dolphins is a small fisherman's cottage in St Mawes. It's from the eighteenth century. Honestly, I always just call it old. It's on a quiet lane, but you're 50 yards from the beach and the village centre.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. One's a double with some coloured glass windows, the other's a small twin room. The bathroom's upstairs, with a shower over the bath. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. You can bring one well-behaved dog.

The stairs are cottage stairs, so they're steep and twist a bit. The ceiling beams are low in places. I've hit my head. The living room is upstairs. From there you get a view out over the water towards St Mawes Castle and Pendennis on the other side.

Downstairs is a kitchen and dining area. It's got what you need. Outside there's a small enclosed patio area with a table.

You've got everything in the village: shops, cafes, pubs. The ferries to Falmouth are right there. For a longer trip, you can get the ferry up to Truro. The South West Coast Path is on your doorstep. You can walk to St Mawes Castle, which is looked after by English Heritage.

Things to have within about half an hour: Falmouth for the Maritime Museum and the National Maritime Museum Cornwall. The Roseland Peninsula for walks. The National Trust look after quite a few bits around here like Trelissick Garden.

It has a TV, WiFi, a washing machine, and parking for one small car. Bedding and towels are included. The electricity is included in the price.
