Upper Warren is in St Mawes. It's about two minutes from the little beach they call Tavern Beach. Five minutes on the flat to the main bit of the village with shops and pubs.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. That's handy. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and modern. We renovated it a few years back.
The house is upside down. That means the living room and kitchen are on the first floor to get the view. You can see a bit of the bay and the river from the balcony. It's nice to sit out there.
On the ground floor are the bedrooms. The main one has a king bed and its own shower room. Then there's a twin room, and a bunk room. The bunk beds are full-sized, so fine for adults too. You have to go through the twin room to get to the bunk room, which some people like and others don't. Just so you know.
There's a utility room downstairs with the washing machine. It's got a door straight outside, so it's good for dumping wetsuits and sandy things. The garden is mostly a patio with a table and a barbecue.
You can park one car on the drive, which is a real bonus here. Most places in St Mawes you can't.
The ferry to Falmouth runs from the quay all year. It's a nice way to get across without driving. For bigger days out, the National Trust at Trebah Garden is about half an hour's drive. So is the Glendurgan Garden. The Lizard peninsula is also within reach if you want to explore.
Facilities: Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, all bedding and towels included. There's a highchair. No pets.
