Top Deck
Top Deck is an apartment in Portscatho. Right in the middle of the village, to be exact. It's got big windows on the front that look straight out over the harbour and the bay.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms, which is handy. The beds are comfortable. One room is a double, the other can be a double or two singles.
The living area is all open plan. There's a set of folding doors that open right up onto a Juliet balcony, so you get the sea air. The view is good. You see the boats and Gull Rock. You'll watch the weather roll in.
It's a 4 Star place, so it's well-kept. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. Everything you need is there. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair.
You're allowed one well-behaved dog.
Literally outside the door is the village square. There's a pub there that does food. The beach is about ten yards away. It's not a big sandy beach, more of a small harbour beach for a paddle. For a proper swim, Rosevine beach is a short walk east. It's sandy and there's a good café. There are more big beaches like Pendower a bit further on.
A useful thing is that the main South West Coast Path runs behind the property, not in front of it. So if you're walking, you can join it without having to go down to the water first.
St Anthony's Head is a nice walk west. You might know the lighthouse from an old TV show. It's a National Trust place.
