Chymor is in St Mawes, right on the seafront. It's a Victorian villa, semi-detached. The main thing is the view, which is straight out to sea, uninterrupted.
It sleeps six. Four bedrooms, four bathrooms. That’s handy with that many people. It’s got a 5 Star rating, so it’s well-equipped and finished to a good standard.
The living room has a big picture window for the view. The kitchen is at the back, with French doors to the garden. Floors are stone or oak downstairs. There’s a utility room with a washer and dryer.
Bedrooms are over two floors. The master has a kingsize and the sea view. One double, one single. Then up in the loft is another kingsize room with its own shower room. It’s a proper attic room, so mind your head in places.
Outside, there’s a terrace at the front with a bench, good for watching the boats. The back garden is terraced and enclosed. At the top, there’s a wooden deck that gets you an even better view over the water.
You’re between the harbour and the castle. Tavern Beach is just down the slipway. The village centre, with shops and places to eat, is a couple of minutes’ walk.
For a day out, the St Mawes Castle is right there. The Trerice estate is about half an hour’s drive. Or you can get the ferry over to Falmouth, which takes about twenty minutes.
What’s here: WiFi, TV, woodburner, dishwasher, all bedding and towels. Parking is on the street, usually available nearby.
