The Retreat
This place is called The Retreat. It's on a quiet street in Falmouth, separate from our house with its own door.
It's a 5 Star place, which just means it's very well finished and comfortable. It's for two people. One bedroom upstairs with a king-size bed, and a bathroom with both a bath and a separate shower.
Downstairs there's an open plan living area with a kitchen. Outside there's a private, south-facing patio area with a table and chairs.
You're right in Falmouth. It's about a ten minute walk downhill into the main part of town. There are lots of places to eat and drink there. The nearest beach, Gyllyngvase, is about a fifteen minute walk.
Penmere train station is a couple of minutes away. The little train goes from there into Falmouth town centre and on to the docks. It's useful. From the docks you can walk to Pendennis Castle. The castle is run by English Heritage.
If you want to explore further, you can drive to the Lizard peninsula in about thirty minutes. The National Trust looks after a few spots down there like Gunwalloe. Truro is about twenty five minutes by car.
It has Wi-Fi, a TV, a dishwasher, and bedding and towels are provided. There’s parking on the street outside. No pets, sorry.
