The Retreat
The Retreat is a one-bedroom cottage on a quiet road in Falmouth. It sleeps two. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's been finished to a high standard. It's recently been done up.
It's over two floors. Downstairs is the kitchen and a sitting room. Upstairs is the bedroom with a king-size bed, and a bathroom with both a bath and a separate shower. There's a small patio garden at the back.
You're about half a mile from the centre of Falmouth. It's a ten-minute walk downhill. The nearest beaches, Swanpool and Gyllyngvase, are about a fifteen-minute walk.
Penmere train station is literally around the corner. One stop gets you to Falmouth town for the pubs and shops, or the National Maritime Museum. Two stops go to Falmouth Docks, which is right by Pendennis Castle. You can walk the coast path from here back towards town and get the train home.
For a good day out, get the ferry from Falmouth to St Mawes. The boat leaves from the Prince of Wales Pier.
Facilities are all included: WiFi, TV, a dishwasher, bedding and towels. There's no swimming pool on site, but there is one locally. Sorry, no pets.
