This is the large barn at Pennare Barton in Gillan. It's a single building, converted properly. We've focused on space and light. It has a high ceiling in the main living area, which gives it a sense of room.
It sleeps five. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is useful. It's rated 4 Star, which reflects the standard. The main stairs to the mezzanine are a proper staircase, not a ladder, but they are quite steep. Something to be aware of.
You're a few hundred metres from the South West Coast Path here. You can walk down to Porthallow Cove in about ten minutes. The local pub is down there too. They do good food. For a bigger beach, you'd drive to places like Coverack or Kynance Cove. They're within a twenty minute drive.
The Lizard is quiet. The villages are small, like Cadgwith and Coverack. It's good for walking and escaping. If you need more activity, Flambards theme park is about twenty minutes by car. Goonhilly satellite station is nearby for something different.
The barn has a south-facing enclosed garden, which gets the sun. There's underfloor heating in the boot room, which is handy for wet coats and dogs after a walk. We allow one well-behaved dog. There's a wood burner, WiFi, a washing machine, and an electric vehicle charger. All bedding and towels are included.
