Pennare Barton Large Barn
Pennare Barton Large Barn is in Gillan, on the Lizard peninsula. It's a converted barn, sleeps five. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms, so it's good for a couple of families or a group sharing.
It's a 4 Star place, which means it's well finished. The main living area has a high ceiling and a big wood burner. There's a mezzanine level up a ladder, which is a bit of a climb but gives you another spot to sit. The kitchen is a good size.
Outside is a south-facing patio and an enclosed garden. It gets the sun. There's a boot room with underfloor heating for wet coats and boots. We take one dog.
You're a few hundred metres from the South West Coast Path here. One way it leads down to Porthallow Cove, which has a beach and a pub. The other way, you've got miles of cliff walks. The Lizard point itself is about a thirty minute drive.
For beaches, Kynance Cove is spectacular but can get busy. Closer by, you've got Coverack or the beach at Gunwalloe. The fishing villages like Cadgwith and Coverack are worth a look.
In terms of facilities, it's got most things: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher, BBQ. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if needed. We've also put in an electric vehicle charger.
