Headland Cottages
Headland Cottages are in Coverack. It's number 19 in a terrace of old hotel cottages, about a hundred years old.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. The stairs are typical of the build, so they're a bit steep and narrow. The front door opens straight onto a shared garden path.
The living room and kitchen are downstairs, bedrooms are upstairs. Two bedrooms look over the gardens, one has a view out towards the headland. The cottage is double glazed.
The main thing is the shared gardens. You walk out the front, turn right, and in about twenty steps you're in these big, well-kept gardens with benches. The view from there is straight out to sea over the cliffs. It's very good.
Coverack village is a short walk down the hill. There's a harbour, a shop, a pub that does food, and a couple of places to eat. The South West Coast Path is literally two minutes from the front door. Mears beach is about an eight minute walk.
If you want to go further, Helston is about twelve miles. It's a market town with a museum. The Lizard Point, which is the most southerly bit of mainland Britain, is just over ten miles away. There's a lighthouse and a lifeboat station there.
For local attractions, the National Trust Trebah Garden is about twenty five miles, and The Lost Gardens of Heligan are about thirty miles. Both are within a half hour drive.
Facilities: there's parking on site, wifi, a TV, a cot and a stairgate if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. The shower is over the bath. You can bring up to two dogs.
