Tremar

This is Tremar. It's in Newtown, which is a small hamlet near St Martin on the Lizard. It's quiet. You'll hear more birds than cars.

The cottage sleeps five. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. Nothing too fancy. The stairs are cottage stairs, so they're a bit steeper than you might be used to. There's a wood burner in the living room.

You get a garden out the back and parking for one car on the drive. There's also an electric vehicle charger. The cottage is generally accessible, but the bathroom is upstairs, just so you know.

There's a pub in the hamlet, The Prince of Wales. It's reopened recently. They do food. For a proper shop, you'd drive to Helston or Falmouth.

The Helford River is close. It's about a ten minute drive to places like Helford Passage or Durgan. You can walk down to the creeks from there. Good for kayaks if you hire them. St Anthony, where you can hire boats, is about three miles.

You're well placed for the coast. Kynance Cove is about twenty minutes by car. Mullion Cove and Coverack are similar. The coastal path is all along there. Falmouth is half an hour away. It's got the Maritime Museum and Pendennis Castle. You can get a ferry to St Mawes from there.

For gardens, Trebah and Glendurgan are nearby. A lot of the area is National Trust. The Gweek Seal Sanctuary is about a twenty-five minute drive.

Facilities: all the basics are here. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
