Vine Cottage

Vine Cottage is in St Martin, over on the Lizard peninsula. It's a Cornish cottage, so it's got the low ceilings and thick walls. It sleeps four, exactly as it says: two bedrooms and a bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well looked after.

The layout is handy. There's a main living room with a wood burner, and a smaller snug room off it. They're connected, so it's not totally separate, but it's a place for someone to get a bit of quiet. The kitchen has what you need, including a dishwasher. There's a conservatory that leads out to the garden. The garden is mature, gets the sun, and is fully enclosed. You can bring one dog.

St Martin itself is quiet. There's a pub about half a mile away. The coast path is easily walkable from the cottage. You're in a good spot for the Lizard. Coverack is a few minutes drive, Cadgwith a bit further. Kynance Cove is stunning but gets busy. For a bigger beach, Poldhu or Gunwalloe are about twenty minutes by car.

Falmouth is roughly a thirty minute drive, depending on traffic. It's got the National Maritime Museum, restaurants, and the ferries across to St Mawes and Flushing. The Helford River is closer, maybe fifteen minutes. You can get a ferry from Helford Passage over to the village.

For facilities: it's all there. Washing machine, parking for one car on the gravel drive, WiFi, bed linens and towels included. We leave a cot and highchair in the cupboard under the stairs.
