Skyber Lowen is a converted barn near Kuggar, on the Lizard. It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms downstairs. The living room and kitchen are upstairs because the ceiling is higher up there, with big beams. It feels very light. There's a wood burner for colder evenings. French doors lead out to a balcony, then steps down to the garden.
It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything is clean and well looked after. The stairs are typical for a barn conversion, so they're a bit steep and turn a corner, but there's a stairgate at the top.
Outside, there's a tap and a sink next to the steps, which is handy for washing off sandy dogs or wetsuits. There's space under the steps to hang things up to dry. The garden is enclosed. You can have up to two dogs.
Kuggar is a quiet hamlet. There are a couple of small local bars that might have music in summer, but it's generally peaceful. The nearest shop and Post Office is in Ruan Minor, a short drive away.
Kennack Sands is the closest beach. It's about a fifteen minute walk, or three minutes by car. It's dog friendly all year, with some restrictions in July and August. You're close to Cadgwith and Coverack, and Kynance Cove isn't far by car either. A lot of the coastal paths here are looked after by the National Trust.
For facilities, it has parking, wifi, a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a BBQ in the garden.
If you're planning trips, the Visit Cornwall site is useful, and the National Trust Lizard page has good walking information.
