Ballantine's No 29

Ballantine's No 29 is a holiday bungalow in Ruan Major on the Lizard. It's on a site with a mix of residential and holiday homes, so the neighbours are close by.

It sleeps four in two small bedrooms. There's one bathroom and a lounge with a dining area. The kitchen is small. There's no washing machine on site. It's a three star rating, so it's affordable and clean, not luxurious. The entrance is step-free.

You're a few minutes' drive from Poldhu Cove. The sand is soft, good for families. It's popular for swimming and surfing. The coastal path runs right past it.

Kynance Cove is about three miles away, on National Trust land. It's stunning but the access is steep and it's tidal, so you need to check the times. The walk along the cliffs from there is brilliant for spotting seals.

Mullion village and its harbour are a short drive. There are shops and a few places to eat. If the weather turns, Mullion Meadows has a chocolate factory and craft centre you can visit.

The most southerly point at Lizard Point is under three miles away. You can visit the lighthouse, have a pasty, and look around the village.

For wider planning, the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty site has information, and Visit Cornwall is useful for general advice.

Facilities are as listed. Parking is on site. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
