New Quay House

New Quay House is in Flushing. It's right on the point overlooking the harbour to Falmouth. The view is really good from most rooms.

It's a big old house. It sleeps seven in three bedrooms, and it has three bathrooms, which is handy. The layout is a bit different. The main kitchen and dining room are on the ground floor. Then you go up a flight to the living room and one shower room. All the bedrooms are on the top floor, with two more bathrooms. The stairs are normal house stairs, not too steep.

It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well equipped, but it's not a new build. It feels like a family home. There's a patio and garden area to sit out.

Flushing itself is small and quiet. It's meant to be one of the warmest spots in the country. There's a fish restaurant on the quay and a couple of pubs. For a beach, you'd drive to places like Kiln, which is about five miles.

You're looking right over the Carrick Roads. You can get the passenger ferry from Flushing across to Falmouth. It takes a few minutes and saves driving round. Falmouth has everything: shops, the Maritime Museum, more restaurants.

For things to do, you're well placed. The South West Coast Path is right there. For gardens, Trebah and Glendurgan are about a twenty minute drive. You can be at the Lizard or Goonhilly on the south coast in half an hour. Truro is about twenty minutes away for bigger shops.

Facilities are all there: parking, washing machine, TV, bedding and towels are included. No pets, I'm afraid.
