Old School House
The Old School House is on the edge of Gerrans village, right by the green. The views from the front are great. You look straight out over the bay to Nare Head.
It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is useful. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable. The sitting room has an open fireplace.
It's a new build, but they've done it in the old style with beams and cottage windows. It doesn't feel new. There's a proper, west-facing courtyard garden out the back. It's enclosed and secure.
You can walk down to the village. The shop and the post office are there. The beach at Portscatho is about a fifteen minute walk. It's sandy with rock pools. The coastal path runs right past, so you can walk for miles.
You can bring dogs. Up to two.
The house has the things you'd need. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. There's a cot and a highchair if you're bringing a little one. Parking is on site.
For a day out, Trelissick is about a twenty minute drive up the river. The National Trust looks after it. St Mawes is close, with its castle. For a longer trip, the Lizard or Falmouth are within half an hour.
