Long Commons is a house in St Mawes. It's detached, on a hill, and you can see the harbour and the sea from the main living area upstairs. You can park four cars.
It sleeps nine people, in five bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which is good for groups. There's a lift from the ground floor to the first floor, so it works if you can't manage stairs.
The living room, kitchen and dining area are all open plan, up on the first floor. The kitchen is large and well-equipped. Big doors open onto a large decked balcony, which gets the sun. There's a second terrace on the ground floor with a brick barbecue, and then a big garden.
Downstairs there are four bedrooms. One has a wet room next to it, off the boot room, which is handy. The main bedroom is upstairs, with an en-suite and its own access to the balcony.
St Mawes itself is a small harbour village. There are a couple of good places to eat, and you can get the ferry over to Falmouth. The Roseland Peninsula is good for walking. The coastal path is right there.
Within about half an hour you can get to lots of beaches. Gyllyngvase in Falmouth is sandy and has cafes. For something quieter, Porthcurnick near Portscatho is nice, and the Hidden Hut beach cafe is there. You can also visit the Trelissick Garden or the Glendurgan Garden, both are about a 25 minute drive.
The house has pretty much everything: wifi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. It's a 5 Star place, so it's well-finished and maintained. You can bring up to two dogs.
