Meadowside

This is Meadowside. It’s a first floor apartment in St Mawes. You’ve got your own separate entrance, and it’s attached to our house. We’re here sometimes but the place is designed so you won’t see us.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It’s got a 5 Star rating. It’s modern and well finished, so everything works as it should.

The main thing is the view. There’s a big window in the living area that looks straight out over the River Percuil and the fields. It’s a really nice room to sit in. There’s a wood burner for colder evenings.

The kitchen is good. It has a dishwasher, a washing machine, and a wine cooler. There’s a breakfast bar. Bedrooms are a good size with plenty of storage.

Outside, there’s a private courtyard. Parking is right there.

St Mawes itself is about a five minute walk downhill. It’s a proper little Cornish harbour village. Good pubs and restaurants, mostly seafood. A few shops. The beach is about ten minutes on foot.

You don’t really need the car. The bus stop is right outside. The ferry to Falmouth runs from the harbour. For a walk, you can get the little Place Ferry over to St Anthony’s Head.

If you do drive, Truro is about half an hour if you take the King Harry Ferry. That’s a proper car ferry across the river. The cathedral is worth seeing. The Roseland peninsula around here is nice for driving or cycling, with places like Veryan and St Just in Roseland.

It’s a good spot for coast path walks. The local beach is Summers Beach.

Facilities: everything listed is included. WiFi, TV, bedding and towels. You can bring one dog.
