Myrtle Cottage is in St Just in Roseland. It's a detached house, grey stone and slate like a lot of them around here. Sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's a 5 Star place because it's been done up to a good standard.
The main thing is the space. The kitchen and dining area is big. Good for a group. There's a games room off it, which is handy if you've got kids with you. Through the bifold doors is the garden, it's on a couple of levels with tables and chairs.
Upstairs there's a second living room with another wood burner. The stairs are fine, they're normal house stairs.
You're a few miles from some good beaches. Porthcurnick and Summer Beach are close. Portscatho is a bit further. St Mawes is nearby for a potter about or to get the ferry across to Falmouth. The King Harry Ferry is a chain ferry that saves you going all the way round through Truro, it's a fun five minute trip.
Truro is about six miles. That's where the cathedral is and all the main shops. Falmouth is about a half hour drive, depending on the ferry queue.
It's an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty round here. The church in St Just has a famous garden. For other gardens and walks, the National Trust Cornwall site is useful, and so is Cornwall Council Countryside for rights of way maps.
What's here: Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, wood burners, all bedding and towels are included. Parking for a couple of cars on the drive. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
