Beech Barns
Beech Barns are near Threehammer Common in Norfolk. They're a few old barns converted into holiday cottages, sitting in the grounds of our farmhouse.
They sleep six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. They've got a 4 Star rating, which means they're comfortable and well-equipped. They're detached, so you have your own space. Each one has its own enclosed garden and a private hot tub.
The barns date from the 1700s, so they have beamed ceilings and sometimes you notice the floors aren't quite level. They have wood-burning stoves. The WiFi works, but it's countryside broadband, so it's fine for browsing but not for streaming films.
You're right on the edge of the Norfolk Broads. Alderfen Broad is a short walk away, it's part of The Broads National Park and good for birdwatching. The nearest shop and pub are about a mile and a half away.
For a day out, Horning village is close. You can hire day boats there. The owner can sometimes arrange boat hire from Easter to mid-July and in autumn for week-long bookings. BeWILDerwood, the adventure park for kids, is about a 20-minute drive.
North Norfolk's sandy beaches, like Cromer, are roughly half an hour away by car. Norwich city centre is about a 30-minute drive too, with the castle, cathedral, and shops.
There are several National Trust properties within a 30-minute drive, including Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall.
Facilities include a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and parking. Bedding and towels are provided. We can supply a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
