Beech Barns is here on Threehammer Common. It’s three separate barns, Willow, Beech, and Alderfen. They’re detached and in the grounds of the main farmhouse. They date from the 1700s.
Beech Barn itself sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It’s all on one floor. It’s got a 4 Star rating, which means it’s well kept and comfortable. There’s a wood-burning stove, which is nice in the cooler months. The garden is enclosed and there’s a private hot tub.
The location is good for the Broads. Alderfen Broad is within walking distance, it's part of The Broads National Park. It's very quiet, lots of birdlife. The village of Horning is a few miles away, that’s where you’ll find pubs and places to eat.
For a day out with children, BeWILDerwood is close by. They’ve got treehouses and boat trips. The north Norfolk coast with its beaches is about a ten mile drive. Norwich is roughly half an hour away, that’s got the castle, cathedral, and shops.
There are some National Trust places within a 30 minute drive, like Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall.
Facilities: you’ve got a dishwasher, washing machine, Wi-Fi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
There’s an offer sometimes on free boat hire for a day with longer bookings. You can also arrange for a catered meal here if you want something special.
The other two barns, Willow and Alderfen, are similar. All three can be booked together for bigger groups.
The nearest shop and pub are about a mile and a half away.
