Crested Grebe is one of several houses grouped together, called The Riverviews. It's in Wroxham, which is right in the middle of the Norfolk Broads. The house overlooks a private marina, and the River Bure is about a hundred yards away.
It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and they all have their own en-suite bathroom, which is useful. It's got a 5 Star rating, so everything is in good order and well presented.
Downstairs, there's a small enclosed courtyard with a barbecue. The main living area is upstairs. It's open plan and has a balcony that gets the evening sun.
You get the use of a motor launch included, except during the Whitsun and Summer holidays. You collect it from the owner's boatyard nearby and can moor it close to the house. If you've brought fishing gear and have a licence, you can fish on the owner's other bit of river frontage nearby. They have life jackets for people and for dogs, though there's a ten pound refundable deposit for the dog ones.
Wroxham has shops, cafes, and a few places to eat, all about five minutes' walk away. It's a good base for walking or cycling around the Broads.
The Norfolk coast, with beaches at places like Cromer and Sheringham, is about half an hour's drive. Norwich is less than half an hour away too, if you want a day in the city. For a day out, Felbrigg Hall and Blickling Hall are both within easy reach.
Facilities include parking, WiFi, a TV, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. We can provide a cot and a stairgate. You can bring up to two dogs.
