Wherryman's Cottage

This is Wherryman's Cottage in Coltishall. It's a detached house right on the river. It sleeps eight, has four bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The building is old, from around the 1800s. So the stairs inside are steep and a bit narrow. Just something you need to know. There's an Aga in the farmhouse kitchen and beams across the ceilings.

You get the garden to yourselves, with a patio and a barbecue. It looks straight out over the water. You can moor a boat there if you have one, or do some fishing.

There's a local pub about five minutes walk away. The village shop is a bit further, maybe three quarters of a mile.

For getting about, Wroxham is three miles up the road. They call it the capital of the Broads. It has all the shops, a train station, and places to eat by the water. Wroxham Barns is there too, it's a big craft and farm place.

If you've got kids, BeWILDerwood is nearby. It's that adventure park with treehouses and zip wires.

Norwich is about eight miles away. It's a proper city with a cathedral, a castle, and lots of shops. For the coast, it's about half an hour to Great Yarmouth or Sheringham. Both have sandy beaches. The National Trust has big estates at Sheringham Park and at Blickling and Felbrigg.

Inside, there's a washing machine, dishwasher, and towels and bedding are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. You can bring up to two dogs.
