This is Caracol. It's a detached house right on the water's edge in Hoveton, Norfolk. That’s the bit just before you get into Wroxham itself.
It sleeps eight people. There are four bedrooms and each one has its own bathroom, which is handy. There's also a ground floor wet room. The place is rated 4 Star. It's roomy and comfortable, and it's wheelchair accessible too.
You get the whole garden to yourselves. It's fully enclosed and goes right down to the river. There's a big decked area out there. You can sit with a drink and watch the boats go by. You have your own private mooring if you bring a boat.
The main thing is the private day launch. It's an 8-seater motor boat and you can use it for free. You need to arrange it directly with me when you book. It means you can properly explore the Broads. You can also fish from the bank.
The local shop is about three quarters of a mile away. The nearest pub is a mile. Wroxham centre, with its shops and restaurants by the water, is only a few minutes' drive. They call it the capital of the Broads.
For days out, BeWILDerwood is nearby if you've got children. The Norfolk coast with its beaches is about 12 miles. Norwich is only 8 miles away. It's a good city for a look around the cathedral or the shops.
There are some good National Trust places within half an hour, like Felbrigg Hall, Blickling Hall, and Horsey Windpump.
Facilities: it's got all the basics like a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog. There is parking on site.
