The Wherry

The Wherry is a lodge on the River Bure, just outside Hoveton. It's one of a row. It's peaceful and you're right on the water, with your own bit of bank for fishing or mooring. There's a patio with doors straight out to it.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One's on the ground floor. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean without being posh. The entrance and the main living area are all on one level and are wheelchair accessible.

You're about three quarters of a mile from Wroxham, which has a few shops and pubs. The pub does food. Norwich is about a twenty minute drive if you need a bigger supermarket, a cinema, or a proper look around a city. The Castle museum is good.

The coast is about twelve miles. Sea Palling and Waxham have sandy beaches. Horsey is a bit further on, good for seeing the seals.

If you want to get on the water, you can hire day boats nearby. The Broads are right there, obviously. For walking or cycling, The Broads Authority website has maps and information.

Facilities wise: there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, parking right outside, and a cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding is included. No pets allowed.
