Riverview
This is Riverview, one of the Boathouse apartments in Hoveton. It's right on the River Bure in a working boatyard, so you see boats coming and going. The view is the main thing.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms, and both have their own bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well-equipped and comfortable.
The layout is upside down. The living area is upstairs to make the most of the river view. There are patio doors that open onto a glass balcony. You can sit out there with a drink and watch the water. Downstairs, there's a small decked area by the mooring.
You get the use of a motor launch included, which is a big part of the point of staying here. It's free outside of the main school holidays. You can just potter up and down the river. Life jackets are provided. If you're bringing a dog, you can get a pet life jacket for a deposit.
Wroxham, which they call the capital of the Broads, is a short walk away. There are shops, cafes, and places to eat. The area is flat, so it's good for walking and cycling.
If you want to go further, the coast at places like Cromer and Sheringham is about half an hour's drive. Norwich is less than half an hour in the other direction, for the cathedral, castle, or shopping.
For facilities, it has pretty much what you'd expect: WiFi, TV, a dishwasher, parking. Bedding and towels are included. We take up to two pets.
